My Hippie Years were followed by my discotheque years.
I was a discotheque addict and regular in the 1980s — in NYC, at Fire Island, and in Paris: Studio 54, Palladium, Tunnel, Area, Pyramid Club, Limelight, Kamikaze, the Saint; and Le Palace and Les Bains Douches (in Paris) were my favorites. Wild or sexy outfits and my ability to mix with the «beautiful people» and outrageous artists enabled me to be waved in by the doormen as soon as I got out of the taxi — before hundreds of hopefuls waiting for approval.
