The role of art as propaganda during the Mussolini regime

I have previously commented on the Church’s acquisitions of art as propaganda and as a way of indoctrinating a largely illiterate population during the 15th century Italian Renaissance. The refinement of naturalism in paintings and murals preceded television, Instagram and billboards as marketing and propaganda tools.
